ThinkPal Help
Welcome to ThinkPal! This Help section provides answers to common questions and guides you on how to use ThinkPal effectively.
1. Getting Started
1.1. What is ThinkPal?
ThinkPal is a conversational AI app designed to answer your questions, provide helpful information, and support you in various topics. You can use it for educational, informational, and entertainment purposes.
1.2. How is ThinkPal different from other AI chat services?
ThinkPal is built on two key concepts to provide a unique experience:
Concept 1: ThinkPal for Everyone
- Accessible and Simple:
ThinkPal is designed to be easy to use for all users, not just those
with high digital literacy or prompt knowledge. There’s no need to learn specific prompts —
just type your questions naturally.
- Affordable and Inclusive:
ThinkPal offers affordable options, including a free plan
supported by ads, making it accessible to everyone. Additionally, with the pay-as-you-go
model, charges are applied flexibly based on usage frequency without committing to large
upfront costs, making it more cost-effective than a monthly subscription model.
Concept 2: ThinkPal Only for You
- Personalized Experience:
ThinkPal is not just an AI assistant, but your personal AI
assistant. It provides responses not only from general knowledge but also tailored to your
individual preferences, making your experience more relevant and personalized.
1.3. How do I create an account?
To start using ThinkPal, download the app from the App Store or Google Play, or visit our website
(https://thinkpal.net/). Open the app and follow the prompts to create an account using your
preferred sign-in method: Google, Apple, or email, etc.
1.4. Why do I need to create an account?
Creating an account is optional for using ThinkPal. However, with an account, you can enjoy
additional benefits like sharing your chat history, settings, ThinkPal coins, subscriptions and in-app
purchases seamlessly across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, and Web). This allows you to pick
up where you left off, no matter which device you’re using.
2. Using ThinkPal
2.1. How do I ask a question?
Simply type your question in the chat box and tap “Send” button. ThinkPal will respond in seconds
with information and insights tailored to your query.
2.2. How to Perform a Web Search
ThinkPal uses a large language model trained on internet data and content. However, because this
training process takes time, there may be a gap between the model's knowledge base and the latest
information. As a result, ThinkPal's knowledge base may not contain the most recent news or
updates from the past year.
Good news is, ThinkPal’s "Web Search" feature overcomes this limitation. For example, if you type
“Web search for Taylor Swift’s latest song,” ThinkPal will retrieve the most up-to-date information
from the web in real-time and answer your question based on the latest data.
There are two ways to use the Web Search feature:
- Simply type your request in the chat box. For example, type “Web search for Taylor
Swift’s latest song,” and ThinkPal will conduct the search for you.
- Use ThinkPal's specialist, the “Web Researcher.”
To access it, go to: Menu (top left corner) > Specialists > Web Researcher
The Web Researcher automatically adds the necessary prompts for a web search, so you don’t have
to type “Web search for” yourself. This makes web searches smoother and more efficient. When
you need the latest information, we recommend you to use the “Web Researcher” specialist.
2.3. How to Generate Images
There are two ways to generate images in ThinkPal:
- Simply type your request in the chat box.
For example, you can type, “Draw a cute cat,” or “Create a logo with a cat theme,” and ThinkPal
will generate the image based on your request. You can also get specific by including details like
scenery, actions, or art style, such as “Draw a 3D animation-style picture of a hungry cat trying to
catch a fish.”
- Use ThinkPal's specialist, the “Illustrator.”
To access it, go to: Menu (top left corner) > Specialists > Illustrator
The Illustrator lets you specify elements like the subject, actions, background, and art style for more
accurate image generation. It even includes hints and sample art styles, so feel free to use these as a
reference.
2.4. What are ThinkPal Coins?
ThinkPal Coins are the in-app currency used to access certain features in ThinkPal, such as “chat
with ThinkPal”, “image generation” and “web search”. New users receive free coins at the first app
launch, which can be used to get started.
2.5. How can I get more coins?
You can earn coins by:
- Watching rewarded ads.
- Making in-app purchases.
- Subscribing to a plan that provides coins monthly.
3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
3.1. How do I make a purchase?
You can buy coins or subscribe to a plan directly within ThinkPal. Tap on the “Coins” or
“Subscriptions” section in the app to view available options and follow the prompts to complete
your purchase through Apple’s App Store or Google Play.
3.2. How do subscriptions work?
Subscriptions offer a recurring coin allowance that renews monthly. You can manage or cancel
subscriptions through your App Store or Google Play settings.
3.3. Can I get a refund?
Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are subject to the refund policies of those
platforms. If you have questions about refunds, please contact Apple or Google support.
4. Privacy and Security
4.1. What information does ThinkPal collect?
ThinkPal collects data necessary to provide and improve our services, such as your account
information, and usage data. For detailed information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
4.2. How can I delete my chat history?
If you wish to delete your chat history, simply navigate to “Settings” > “Data Controls” > “Delete
all chat history”. This will initiate the chat history deletion process. Please note that this action will
permanently delete your chat history not only from the device, but also from other devices signing
in with the same account. The operation cannot be undone.
