1.4. How do I create an account?

To start using ThinkPal, download the app from the App Store or Google Play, or visit our website (https://thinkpal.net/). Open the app and follow the prompts to create an account using your preferred sign-in method: Google, Apple, or email, etc.
with an account, you can enjoy benefits like sharing your chat history, settings, ThinkPal coins, subscriptions and in-app purchases seamlessly across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, and Web). This allows you to pick up where you left off, no matter which device you’re using.

2. Using ThinkPal

2.1. How do I ask a question?

Simply type your question in the chat box and tap “Send” button. ThinkPal will respond in seconds with information and insights tailored to your query.

2.2. How can I change AI model dynamically?

1. Navigate to 'ThinkPal > Settings > LLM', and choose 'Speed & Quality' if you want ThinkPal to automatically select the best AI model, balancing speed and response quality based on your needs. For instance, for a simple question like 'What is AI?', ThinkPal might use the fastest model, Gemini 2.0 Flash Lite. For more complex or STEM-oriented queries, such as 'When rolling two dice simultaneously, what is the probability that the sum of the outcomes is 7?', it could switch to ChatGPT o3 mini for more in-depth answers.
2. Navigate to 'Settings' > 'LLM', and choose 'Speed First' if you want ThinkPal to always use the fastest AI model for every request.

2.3. How can I specify AI model for each request manually?

If the AI’s response doesn’t meet your needs, you can easily switch to another model. Just click on the icon under the AI’s response to see other available models.

2.4. How can I get Weather report and forecast?

Simply type your weather request in the chat box and tap the “Send” button. (ex. "Seattle weather tomorrow", "What is the weather like in Seattle tomorrow?")
For a faster response, activate the icon below the chat box and type your request (ex. "Seattle tomorrow"). This way, ThinkPal skips the initial triage analysis and delivers your weather update more quickly.

2.5. How can I get News?

Simply type your news request in the chat box and tap the “Send” button. You can also specify a news category, such as "business news" or "tech news". (ex. "News", "business news", "finance news", "sports news", "tech news", "entertainment news")
For a faster response, activate the icon below the chat box and type your request (ex. "News", "business", "tech"). This way, ThinkPal skips the initial triage analysis and provides your news update more quickly.

2.6. How can I search YouTube?

Simply type your video request into the chat box and tap “Send.” (ex. "Taylor Swift popular song on YouTube", "Cute otter video")
For a quicker response, activate the icon below the chat box and enter your request (ex. "Taylor Swift popular song", "Cute otter"). This way, you save typing and ThinkPal skips the initial triage analysis for faster results.

2.7. How can I get Coding support?

Simply type your coding question into the chat box and tap “Send.” (ex. "a Python code for quick sort", "give me a Java sample")
For a quicker response, activate the icon below the chat box and type your request (ex. "Python for quick sort", "a Java sample"). This lets you skip the initial triage analysis and get your solution faster.

2.8. How can I get Math support?

Simply type your Math request in the chat box and tap “Send.” (ex. "A box contains 5 red balls, 3 blue balls, and 2 green balls. One ball is randomly selected from the box. What is the probability that the ball is red?", "Give me a calculus differentiation problem.")
For a faster response, activate the icon below the chat box and type your request. This helps you save typing and bypass the initial triage analysis for quicker answers.

2.9. How to Perform a Web Search

ThinkPal uses a large language model trained on internet data and content. Because the training process takes time, there may be a gap between the model’s knowledge base and the latest information. This means ThinkPal’s knowledge base may not include the most recent updates from the past year.
Fortunately, ThinkPal’s "Web Search" feature overcomes this limitation. Simply type your query in the chat box and tap “Send” (ex. "What is the latest AI model by ChatGPT?"). ThinkPal will fetch up-to-date information from the web in real-time if needed.
For a faster response, activate the icon below the chat box and type your request. This saves typing and skips the initial triage analysis so you get the latest information more quickly.

2.10. How to Generate Images

There are two ways to generate images in ThinkPal:
  1. Simply type your request in the chat box.
    For example, you can type, “Draw a cute cat,” or “Create a logo with a cat theme,” and ThinkPal will generate the image based on your request. You can also get specific by including details like scenery, actions, or art style, such as “Draw a 3D animation-style picture of a hungry cat trying to catch a fish.”
    For a faster response, activate the icon below the chat box and type your request. This saves typing and skips the initial triage analysis so you get the latest information more quickly.
  2. Use ThinkPal's specialist, the “Illustrator.”
    To access it, go to: Menu (top left corner) > Specialists > Illustrator The Illustrator lets you specify elements like the subject, actions, background, and art style for more accurate image generation. It even includes hints and sample art styles, so feel free to use these as a reference.

2.11. What are ThinkPal Coins?

ThinkPal Coins are the in-app currency used to access certain features in ThinkPal, such as “chat with ThinkPal”, “image generation” and “web search”. New users receive free coins at the first app launch, which can be used to get started.

3.1. How do I make a purchase?

You can buy coins or subscribe to a plan directly within ThinkPal. Tap on the “Coins” or “Subscriptions” section in the app to view available options and follow the prompts to complete your purchase through Apple’s App Store or Google Play.

3.2. How do subscriptions work?

Subscriptions offer a recurring coin allowance that renews monthly. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your App Store or Google Play settings.

3.3. Can I get a refund?

Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are subject to the refund policies of those platforms. If you have questions about refunds, please contact Apple or Google support.

4. Privacy and Security

4.1. What information does ThinkPal collect?

ThinkPal collects data necessary to provide and improve our services, such as your account information, and usage data. For detailed information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

4.2. How can I delete my chat history?

If you wish to delete your chat history, simply navigate to “Settings” > “Data Controls” > “Delete all chat history”. This will initiate the chat history deletion process. Please note that this action will permanently delete your chat history not only from the device, but also from other devices signing in with the same account. The operation cannot be undone.
